Choose Your Own Garden Stone

Because this version is supplied without stone, you can create the finished look you want.

White pebbles give the planter a brighter appearance, black or dark stone creates more contrast, while beige, grey and multicolour pebbles produce a softer natural finish.

The curved wire design leaves much of the stone visible, so the choice of fill has a noticeable effect on the final appearance.

Filling the Gabion Basket

Position the basket on a firm, level surface before filling.

Decorative stone is placed around the outer section of the basket while the central 21 cm planting opening remains clear for your plant pot.

Choose stones that are large enough to remain securely inside the basket openings. Once filled, the planter will become considerably heavier, so it is best to place it in its final position before adding the stone.

Garden Design

The curved York shape gives the planter a different character from conventional straight-sided gabion baskets. It can be used as a single focal feature or repeated around a garden to create a consistent design.
