Choose Your Own Garden Stone

Because this version is supplied without stone, you can choose the decorative material that best matches your garden.

White pebbles can create a brighter finish, darker stones give the planter stronger contrast, while natural beige and multicolour pebbles produce a softer appearance. Different stone sizes can also change the finished look of the gabion.

Filling the Gabion Basket

Place the basket on a firm, level surface before filling. Decorative stone is placed within the outer section of the gabion, leaving the central 25 cm planting space clear for your plant pot.

We recommend choosing stones large enough that they cannot pass through the openings in the basket.

Once filled, the planter becomes considerably heavier, so it is best to position the basket in its final location before adding the stone.

Garden Design

The rounded shape gives the Olimp planter a softer appearance than rectangular gabion baskets. It can be used on its own or repeated throughout a garden to create matching planted features.

The visible stone can also be coordinated with gravel, borders or other decorative stone already used elsewhere in the garden.
