Red Lava Volcanic Stone 30–50 mm is a natural decorative stone with warm red, brown and earthy volcanic tones. The stones are tumbled to soften the edges while retaining the characteristic porous surface of volcanic rock.

The 30–50 mm size is suited to larger flower beds, borders, planters and areas around established shrubs and trees. The individual stones remain clearly visible once laid, giving planting areas a more textured finish than smaller lava gravel.

Using 30–50 mm Red Lava Volcanic Stone

The 30–50 mm size produces a noticeably larger and more textured finish than smaller red lava gravel sizes.

It is best used in larger beds, borders and planters where there is enough space for the individual stones to be seen. For smaller planting areas or where a finer surface is required, a smaller red lava gravel size may be more suitable.

A landscaping membrane can be installed underneath the stone to separate it from the soil and make the area easier to maintain.

Colour and Natural Finish

Red Lava Volcanic Stone contains a natural mixture of red, terracotta, reddish-brown and darker earthy shades. Some stones may be lighter or darker than others.
